About Our Logo

We wanted a logo that represented restoration. In thinking of the miracles that Christ performed, the one that stood out was the healing of the blind man recorded in John, Chapter 9. When asked what had happened to him he replied,

"One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!"    John 9:25, NIV

Since so many of us can answer the same way he did, it seemed appropriate to use this image. There are two things interesting about this particular drawing; one intentional and the other unintentional. Although the story in the Bible is about a blind man, God restores sight to all. So the image is deliberately drawn in a way that it could be a man or a woman in the scene. The other interesting thing was not intentional, at least not intended by anyone here on earth. Notice Christ’s sleeve. It forms an almost perfect heart, representing the love that exists between our Lord and Savior and us as we are being restored through him.
